We are delighted, as part of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/1000plus.cit.tum.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u201e1000-Plus Project 2025\u201c<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tum.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technical University of Munich<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to host five students at our headquarters in Garching for a week. The five participants, studying Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Communications Engineering and Computational Mechanics, gained an insight into the day-to-day working life of an engineer at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.itq.de\/kompetenzen\/mechatronic-consulting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ITQ GmbH<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During this week, the students explored the very important topic of\u00a0<strong>\u201eCyber Security in Mechatronics\u201c<\/strong>. The focus was on the implications of new EU regulations such as\u00a0<strong>NIS2 and the Cyber Resilience Act<\/strong>\u00a0to the\u00a0<strong>Software development in mechatronics<\/strong>\u00a0in the foreground. The increasing complexity of networked systems and the rise in cyber threats highlight just how important it is to prioritise secure processes.<\/p>\n<p>The aim for this week: to design a development model that\u00a0<strong>\u201eSecure-by-design\u201c and \u201eSecure-by-default\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0which focuses on this issue and meets the growing demands on cyber security. Under the guidance and support of our consultants, the five students explored the topic and produced a poster presenting their findings. This poster serves as their entry ticket to the closing event of the\u00a0<strong>1000-Plus Project<\/strong>. On 30 April, all project participants will present their posters to the participating company representatives and a TUM panel.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank TUM for this fantastic project and for the opportunity to\u00a0<strong>over 1,000 young talents<\/strong>\u00a0to prepare them for everyday working life in a practical way.
