On 23 April 2026 takes the ITQ GmbH again on Girls‘ Day part and loads Schoolgirls aged between 10 and 16 to its offices in Garching and Duisburg. As a provider of software and systems engineering services, ITQ GmbH aims to give young girls exciting insights into the world of STEM careers and to spark their interest in programming.
Following a brief introduction to ITQ GmbH and its areas of activity, participants will gain their first impressions of the engineers’ working environment during an interactive tour of the offices. In Garching, various training projects will also be presented, including the robot-controlled Ice cream maker Fwip Ice Demonstrator and the accurate dartboard Mi5 Dartboard. In Duisburg, the schoolgirls have the opportunity to see a 3D printer in action.
This is followed by a practical session in which participants, with the support of experienced technical coaches, gain their first experience of programming small LEGO Mindstorms robots. In addition, a Minecraft Education workshop is offered, which focuses on the topics of sustainability and renewable energy.
Pupils who are interested do not need any prior knowledge.
